The idea
Two subjects are full of the same problem: personal finance and developer tooling. The information that actually helps people sits behind paywalls, government PDFs, and 3,000-word blog posts written for ad revenue — or buried inside changelog threads and half-working examples. AnswerQA exists to improve people's access to information that makes their work easier, by translating primary sources into plain English and answering one question at a time.
The Finance vertical covers budgeting, investing, debt, credit, and taxes from primary sources — the FDIC, IRS, Federal Reserve, FINRA, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The AI vertical covers Claude Code: coworking patterns, hooks, MCP servers, slash commands, and session walkthroughs.
Who runs it
AnswerQA is founded and edited by Kalle Lamminpää, a software professional with eight years of experience building web services. The site grew out of frustration with how much fluff stands between people and the information they actually need — in finance and in tooling alike. It is built and maintained by one person, and that is on purpose: a small site with one editor can move faster, cite more carefully, and refuse advertising.

AI answers are sourced from official Anthropic documentation and hands-on testing. Sources are listed at the bottom of every question page so you can verify the answer yourself.

How we work
Our editorial process is documented in detail on the methodology page. In short: every answer cites primary sources, every page records when it was last verified, and corrections are made publicly when we get something wrong.
No ads, no affiliate links
